About us
TheWallah.com is a place for people to get things done and to do things. If you need anything--iced coffee at 3AM, a cake at 10PM, your dog groomed from 3-5PM, your laundry picked up at 8:30AM and delivered to you at 7PM--anything at all, TheWallah is for you. TheWallah is also for you if you have free time to spare and want to do things for other people. Are you available from 10AM to 3PM next Tuesday? Tell TheWallah and you'll be matched with someone who needs help at that exact time. Or just browse what people want to get and for how much and see if anything interests you.
Here's how it works.
Step 1: Create a user profile. Creating a profile allows you to do things you can't do if you don't create a profile, like creating errands, looking at other users' profiles and rating errand runners. Best of all, creating a user profile allows you the option of only hiring people or doing jobs for people within your email domain name. Example: I go to UT and my email is wallah@ut.edu. With a profile that confirms my email I can decide if I want to do jobs or hire people only from UT. You can do this for any e-mail domain by allocating the errand to @yourdomain.com and by using the E-mail Domain Only Errands section of the My Account page, where you can view errands posted by people from your email domain as well as postings by runners who can do certain errands. As usual, you pick who you want to do your errand or who you want to run for by looking at a user's errand details.
Step 2: Do you want to get something or do something? Enter your details on the My Accounts page. Be sure to include the window of time that you need the errand done during or the length of time that you are free for errand running.
Step 2.5: Do you not know what you want to get or do? Click on the “View All Runners” or “View All Errands” buttons on the homepage. To filter errand and runner results so that you see only postings by people from your email domain go to the E-mail Domain Only Errands section of your My Account page.
Step 3: Monitor the status of your errand requests or errand running on the My Accounts page. You can see who has applied to do your errand and can accept or reject errand runners based on ratings and profiles. You can also rate runners who have completed errands for you. Errand runners can monitor what errands they have been chosen to accomplish, and by when they need to be done.
Everything else is pretty intuitive. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us via the Contact Us page on the website.
